“Life is a great adventure, and the worst of all fears is the fear of living.”
-Theodore Roosevelt
About Me
I originally completed my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, worked for a few ranches and hunting outfitters in Wyoming, traveled the world, worked as a science teacher, and settled down long enough to go to medical school. Now I'm a PGY-3 Internal Medicine resident who’s completing the Fellowship of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine while applying for Critical Care Fellowships. As a long-time science nerd who largely sees the world through the lens of math and science, this website serves as my creative outlet. If you’re interested in critical care medicine, adventure, and athletic training and performance you’ve come to the right place.
Now let’s get down to the nitty-gritty (said in my best Nacho Libre voice) Things I love include but are not limited to bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica...ah crap now I'm just quoting The Office. Speaking of which I love The Office, exploring with my wife and dogs, coffee, Frank-Starling curves, flannel shirts, Chacos, Chick-fil-a chicken biscuits, Dumb and Dumber quotes, and the smell of fresh cedar in the morning.
If you're on this site you either A) purposely clicked on the link, B) saw my picture and thought I was starting a Scotch/Irish ZZ Top cover band, and are here by complete accident. No matter the reason, I'm glad you're here! If you like the content enough, feel free to subscribe at the bottom of the page and share it with someone else! Also, if you click the links on my site I get a small percentage commission which helps to stave off the crippling weight of my medical school debt and the costs of a kid on the way.
